NZOC - review of Olympic Education (2011-2012)
Having completed an independent review of the Olympic Education programmes for the NZOC (New Zealand Olympic Committee), Gillian was the appointed as chair of the Education Commission to provide ongoing strategic advice and project management. More on NZOC
NZUWC project (2009-2011)
The NZUWC (NZ United World College) Trust was established to explore the feasibility of establishing a United World College in New Zealand. Gillian took on the role of education specialist and advisor and in consultation with New Zealand and international experts, developed an exceptional and innovative educational programme for 17-19 year old potential future global leaders. This project is still being progressed.
UACEL - Leadership Mentoring proposal (2009-2010)
In a consultancy role to UACEL (University of Auckland Centre for Educational Leadership), Gillian researched and prepared a draft proposal entitled Professional Service for School Leadership (Mentoring, Coaching, Appraisal). More on UACEL
Secondary Futures (2003-2009)
Gillian received national and international recognition for her role as a Guardian of the Secondary Futures project which ran for six years and developed a co-constructed future vision for New Zealand education. This project formed part of the broader OECD Schooling for Tomorrow project to which Gillian also contributed at international workshops.
